FOREWORDDear Collegues,Contrast-harmonic-EUS is a fascinating extension of endoscopic ultrasound of the gastro-intestinum, pancreas and the hepato-biliary tract. The possibility to visualize perfusion and micro vascular patterns in combination with the high resolution of EUS can provide additional valuableinformation. This has already led to include CH-EUS into the recommendation of theEuropean Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (EFSUMB) especially for specific issues in pancreatic diagnostics. The symposium provides state of the art lectures, panel discussion andlive case demonstrations. Topics include basic principles, technical andlegal issues as well as advanced applications of CH-EUS and future perspectives. With this symposium we would like to continue our Euroasian collaborations in the field of endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound. We cordially invite you to this first symposium on CH-EUS in Hamburgand are looking very much forward to welcoming you in April.Sincerely,M.
