In the following document we willdescribe these types of bearings and in addition we will present some standard designs forindividual bearing types.Does your load case deviate from the standard design? Please refer to the contact form on page24 or contact us directly. We will be pleased to advise you and to offer you the appropriatespecial technical design for your load case.The single-part production, the corrosion protection and the assembly are carried out in our ownproduction plant. BT Bautechnik GmbH as well as our production of load-carrying building partsand kits for steel structures up to EXC3 in accordance with EN 1090-2 are certified and we areregularly monitored by the independent institutes MPA Stuttgart and DVS ZERT. Standard designs are bearingswhich are multi-directionally movable and bearings which are guided on one side. However, it isalso possible to design fixed bearings or as special versions for the absorption of tensile loads.Support bearingsThese consist of support plates with chambered PTFE plates. They have no counter bearing withsliding plate. In order to ensure a low friction coefficient of the material pairings our supportbearings with stainless steel plates (1.4301/1.4404) must be equipped with a surface quality inaccordance with DIN 17440, a thickness of at least 1.5mm and a surface roughness of Rz. max.1µm. We can provide such stainless-steel plates pre-cut to size or as complete counter bearings.When support bearings are equipped with stainless steel plates or with counter bearings, theybecome fully functional sliding bearings.Counter bearingsAny kind of steel profile equipped with a stainless-steel plate (with the qualities mentionedabove) or a pre-cut stainless-steel plate can be used as counter bearing. Together with supportbearings they form fully functional sliding bearings.Spherical bearingsSpherical bearings are able to absorb high angular distortions. In addition, spherical bearings arecharacterised by their low installation height. Standard designs are multi-directionally movableand unilaterally guided bearings. However, it is also possible to design fixed bearings or as specialversions for the absorption of tensile loadsPoint rocker bearingsPoint rocker bearings can absorb high angular distortions in the same way as spherical bearings.Standard designs are multi-directionally movable and unilaterally guided bearings. They can alsobe designed as fixed bearing or as special versions for the absorption of tensile loadsPipe bearingsOur pipe bearings belong to the group of counter bearings and can be developed into fullyfunctional sliding bearings if equipped with stainless steel plates and support bearings. They areavailable as multi-directionally movable bearings, guided bearings and equipped with an antiderail device.Special sliding bearingsThese are all sliding bearings which cannot all be depicted in our standard designs. To achieve the optimalfriction coefficient of PTFE, the PTFE plates are equipped with a high-gloss polished stainlesssteel plate (1.4301/1.4404) with a surface quality in accordance with DIN 17440, a thickness of atleast 1.5mm and a surface roughness of Rz. max. 1µm to serve as counter bearings.Corrosion protectionAs standard, we use a 1-component zinc phosphate coating. Other corrosion protection systemsare possible in accordance with customer specifications.Carrier plateAs standard, construction steel S355J2 N is used for the carrier plate and the other platematerials. If required they can also be made of stainless steel.DeflectionIn the connection area of the sliding bearing (bearing upper plate and lower plate) any deflectionof the on-site connecting plates cannot be tolerated. Should this be the case, then the steelplates on the upper and lower bearings must be executed in accordance with the structuralstatic.LoadsUpper and lower bearings must be installed plane-parallel in order to avoid edge pressure. Ifvertical angular distortions are to be expected due to the installation or due to the generalconstruction (steel construction tolerances), then spherical bearings or point rocker bearingsmust be installed.CoverageIn any position the PTFE plate must be completely covered by the stainless-steel plate.Operating temperature up to80 C sliding plate of PTFE-TLLQ 3071150 C sliding plate of PTFE-TLFG 3124180 C sliding plate of PTFE-TLFG 3124 (with a reduced surface pressure)550 C sliding plate of PTFE-TLFG 3124 (high-temperature bearing with integrated insulation)InstallationUpon request the installation is carried out by our installation team. Possible tensile loadsFor all our sliding bearings we can offer technical solutions for the absorption of tension loads. Absorption of larger loadsBy using several support bearings in one sliding bearing the acceptable loads can be increased.This is also possible with the other sliding bearings by enlarging the carrier plate and extending itwith a second PTFE plate. Protection of sliding surfacesWe have various options for protecting the sliding surface from external influences by means ofadditional components. High-temperature bearingsBy using heat-resistant steel and insulating material our sliding bearings are suitable forconnection temperatures of up to 550 C. Fixed pointOur sliding bearings can be implemented as fixed points by means of restraint devices. Equipment with bearing position indicatorsIf large displacements occur we can equip our sliding bearings with a bearing position indicator. Line rocker bearingWe can provide line rocker bearings as sliding bearings. Corrosion-resistant versionShould our sliding bearings be installed in aggressive environments, e.g. a marine environment,we can provide a stainless steel version of our sliding bearings.
