PROFESSIONAL BODIESCSI Student Chapter The Department of Computer Science has conducted“Bellman Crown 2K20” a National Level Online CodingContest on 13th September 2020 from 10:00AM to 1:00PMunder CSI Student Branch. 119 teams have registered for thecontest. Rs. 250 per team was collected towards theregistration fee. Participant from different colleges haveparticipated with great interest. A seminar on “Building a web application with Django” wasgiven by CSI Student branch for B.E II year – IV semesterstudents of CSE. A seminar on “Building a web application with Node JS” wasgiven by CSI Student branch for B.E II year – IV semesterstudents of CSE.

The Computer Science department has organized a session on “Importance of coding andexposure to Competitive Programming” on 12th of February 2021, delivered by R. Sravani, D.Aparna, M. Raj Venkat and I. Prabhakar of 7th semester for the 1st semester students.The objectives of the session were to: To give a basic idea on Competitive ProgrammingTo introduce competitive programming platformsTo provide various resources that will help to get better at competitive programmingTo demonstrate how to use the competitive programming platforms effectively3. CO-CURRICULAR AND EXTRA- CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES Virtual International Conference: The department in association with Springer organized Two days International Conference on “Smart Computingand Informatics (SCI-2020)” on 9th – 10th October 2020, to confer latest trends and technologies in the fields ofArtificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Machine learning, Deep learning, Block chain, CyberSecurity, Big Data Engineering, etc. The inaugural session (SCI-2020) was held virtually on 9th October 2020 and 300 participants from variousacademic colleges and industry across the globe participated. More than 500 papers were received, out of which182 papers were selected for presentation. Special Keynote sessions were delivered by Dr. Roman Senkerik, Head of AI lab, Tomas Bata University in Zlin,Czech Republic, Dept. of Informatics and Artificial Intelligence and Shri. Aninda Bose, Senior Editor –Interdisciplinary Applied Sciences, Publishing Department, Springer Nature.3. ACHIEVEMENTS Department Achievements 123 students were offered jobs in 49 different companies out of 65 companies for the academicyear 2020- 21. Faculty Achievements 46 papers were published out of which, 14 research papers were published in Scopus indexed journals,1 in SCI and 19 research papers were published in International Conference in 2020-21. M Jithender Reddy, awarded Active participation and dedicated service in Cisco Networking Academyfor ten years by Cisco Student Achievements 132 students were offered placements by 49 different companies out of 65 companies in theacademic year 2020-21 95 students were offered internships by reputed IT organizations in the academic year 2020-21 . 121 students were offered paid internships by reputed IT organization. Highest pay package 21 lakhs per annum was offered by Service Now to five students Average pay package for the students this year is 7.90 lakhs Number of students with job offers over 7.5 lakhs package were 83 Average pay package of CSE students in 2020-21 was 7.9 lakhs per annum PrashasthaKovuri of BE V Sem. I Bhagya Sree, CSE Alumni 2018 got admission into IIM Tiruchirappalli. Manasa Varanasi, CSE Alumni 2018 was crowned as Femina Miss India 2020. She will representIndia at Miss World 2021 in December. P Benny Joseph, 3rd year student ranked 236 out of 7800 participants in Google Kickstart Round B2021. Ch. Sai Suman. 3rd year student ranked 263 out of 8051 participants in Hackfest 2020 conductedby Hackerrank. He also has published 5 programming articles in geeksforgeeks.
