If position action is within the same account and program codes a budget revision mustbe completed regardless of funding source. If the position action crosses account and/or program codes a flexmust be completed if the funding source is general funds and a budget revision if the funding source is specialfunds. 25Creating a New SHRA Position Contact Human Resources for correct classification Determine funding source General funds requires SRCI flex if using different account and/or programcodes. If using same account and program codes a budget revision is required Trust or auxiliary fund requires budget revision Funding required for the entire year Permanent or time-limited Enter into People Admin (work with HR)

26Salary Adjustment Contact Human Resources Determine funding source General fund: requires SRCI (flex) if funds are coming from different account and/orprogram codes. If funds are coming from same account and programcodes, a budget revision is required. If using operating, requires SRCI (flex) to decrease operating andincrease the salary and benefit lines Trust or auxiliary funds require budget revision-send an email to the BudgetOffice EHRA also prepare HR 3.35 to change the employee salary

32Benefits Calculations (FY 2018-19)Benefits consist of four components: Social security (ALL) - 7.65% (acct code 918100) Retirement State (TSERS)(SHRA) – 18.86% (acct code 918200) Optional retirement program (ORP)(EHRA) – 13.25% (acct code 918400) Law enforcement officer (LEO) –23.86% (acct code 918300) Medical insurance (ALL) - 6,104 (acct code 918600) Unemployment and workman’s compensation For non-general funds only 0.05% of all salary lines for each

43HR Cheat Sheet PEAEMPL – Employee information, home org, check distribution org, hire date,adjusted service date, type of employee, (ie graduate, undergraduate, SPA temp) PEIESUM – This form combines employee and job information with position andbudget information Admin Org- found on NBAPBUD (salary budgets tab) controls the security to theposition. Budget Revision form – Regarding salary budget, use this form when moving salarybudget between same account/program codes HR 3.35- this form changes the EHRA employee assignment only. It does nothing toan SHRA person or position or an EHRA position. SRCI Flex-Only used for General Funds to move budget in regards to budgeted salarylines or to cross program codes Trust fund budget revisions- You can do most of these on line, but if it concernsanything with salary or benefit budget lines, email your request to the Budget Office.
