Home Motion by SomfyWe’ve developed a brand expression that emphasizes thecenterpiece of consumers’ lives, the home. It also representsSomfy’s mission, bringing homes to life by creating movementfor all openings and allowing consumers to enjoy life’s dailypleasures for a better quality of life.1

How Does It Work?Simply press a button on a remote control or wall switchand window coverings move with ease. There is no needto point or aim the transmitter at the covering becauseRadio Technology Somfy (RTS) is omni-directional.And just like a garage door opener, the radio waves travelthrough walls.Available with hand-held remotes, wireless wall switches, tabletop controls and timersNo need to aim the control at the motorized window covering, theradio signal travels through walls similar to a garage door openerOffers a range of 65 ft. for easy operationNo extra wires are neededProvides the ability to control all motorized window coveringsindividually and/or by group with one controlFlexibility to change user preferences with simplified programmingAvailable in single and multi-channel versionsOver 10 million installations worldwideSecure operation with a rolling code reducing interference withother radio productsOffers simplified integration with home automation systems2

Identify RTS Control OptionsTransmittersHand-Held RemotesUsers can control motorized window coverings by pressinga button or rolling a scroll wheel on a variety of hand-heldRTS remotes.Wireless Wall SwitchesUsers can easily control their motorized window coveringswhen entering or exiting a room with DecoFlex RTS WallSwitches.Table Top RemotesUsers can control their motorized window coverings withthe versatile DecoFlex Table Top remote.ReceiversUsers can adjust window coverings powered by standardmotors, as well as operate incandescent and halogen lightsand other outdoor devices by using a particular receiver.3

InterfaceUsers can convert Infrared, RS232, and RS485 protocolinto RTS, allowing for 3rd party control of motorizedwindow coverings.RepeaterUsers can extend the distance of motorized windowcovering control.SensorsUsers can set sensors to automatically adjust motorizedwindow coverings in accordance to the amount of sunlightreceived, temperature recorded, as well as the speed anddirection of wind.4
