USC has the mostinternational studentsout of any university in theUS. The university’s seal displays three torches,representing the arts, the sciences andphilosophy. USC’s motto is “palmam qui meruit ferat”meaning, “let whoever earnsthe palm bear it” USC’s official colors are Cardinal and Gold. USC’s mascot is Traveler the horse, whichstands across the plaza from Tommy Trojan oncampus. The five traits of a Trojan are faithful, scholarly,skillful, courageous, and ambitious. Many events are held here,ranging from speakers to entertainmentperformances.Leavey is themainLEAVEY LIBRARYundergraduatelibrary. It is open 24hours and is mainly used for studying.Rooms are available for reservation onlineif you need to meet for a group project.During exam season, Leavey is packed.Be sure to have your USC ID to enterafter 10 PM.DOHENY LIBRARYDoheny sits across from Bovard and,unlike Leavey, contains lots of books.Because of its splendid architecture anddesign, many movie scenes have beenfilmed at Doheny Library. It is also serves asUSC’s student union building, containingstudent organization offices, a foodcourt, the USC ticket office, the USC Career Center, and Traditions, the campusbar.TUTOR CAMPUSCENTERBOOKSTOREThe USC bookstore is located right next toTCC. At the bookstore is where you can getyour USC gear, from hats to hoodies, officesupplies, and textbooks which you may needfor your classes.LThe Lyon cenYON ENTERter is the campus gym. It boastsa weight room, cardio workout equipment, a stretching room, racquetball andsquash courts, a climbing wall, ping pongtables, group exercise studios, a saunaand Jacuzzi, and a 21,800 sq ft gym forbasketball, badminton, volleyball, andother activities. USCcelebrates with enormous Trojan spirit which includes a parade by themarching band, festive tailgating, and a football game. This year’s homecoming will be against the Colorado Buffs.TBA, McCarthy QuadConquestConquest is held annually before USC’s big gameagainst our rival school, UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles).
