Navigating a KapLearn Workshop(Self-Assigned Training)All of the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) self-paced workshops are administered through the KapLearnlearning environment. So you can successfully complete each workshop unit, assessments, and finalevaluation, please carefully review the instructions below on how to search for, request, and navigate a CTLKapLearn workshop.If you have any questions regarding CTL KapLearn courses or workshops please let us know [email protected] For a listing of our current workshops, their descriptions, and instructions for how to selfassign them to your KapLearn transcript, visit the training/development workshop offerings area of ourwebsite.Searching, Requesting, and Launching a CTL KapLearn Workshop1. Log into KapLearn (http://ghconnect.net/).2. On the search bar, type in the name of the workshop and search. 3. Click on the course title and you’ll see the “request” button. Click on “request”.4. Now you will see the course listed in your KapLearn transcript under the “Active” tab. 2014 Kaplan University – Center for Teaching and Learning – [email protected]
5. Click “Open Curriculum” and then you will see “Activate” under the “Options” column. Click “Activate”.6. Now click on “Launch”. 2014 Kaplan University – Center for Teaching and Learning – [email protected]
7. Now you will see a new popup with the Curriculum items for you to review.8.Then, after reviewing each item, choose “Mark Complete”.Note: To receive credit for the curriculum, you must click on the Mark Complete links for each document, andreceive an 80% or higher on the assessment. Completing a Workshop Assessment in KapLearnBefore you attempt to complete a workshop assessment in KapLearn, please note that all sections of theworkshop should have the status of Completed. If all sections of the workshop do not have the status ofCompleted, then you will not be able to complete the workshop assessment. See example below:Launching the Workshop Assessment:1. After the status for all curriculum items is marked “Complete”, you will then have the option to click“Activate” for the assessment item under the “Options” column. 2014 Kaplan University – Center for Teaching and Learning – [email protected]
2. Now you can click “Launch Test” to start the assessment.3. Once you launch the assessment, you will see directions for taking the test. 2014 Kaplan University – Center for Teaching and Learning – [email protected]
4. Click “Continue” and you will be able to complete the assessment.5. Choose either “Save/Return Later” to come back at another time to complete or click “Summary” tosubmit your responses. 6. Click “Submit Final Answers” to see your score.7. If you passed the assessment then you can complete the course or workshop evaluation (see nextsection). If you did not pass the assessment, then you can complete steps 1 to 8 in these instructionsto retake the workshop assessment.Completing the Evaluation FormAfter you have marked complete each section of the course and have passed the assessment, go back to theworkshop listing in your transcript to verify that its status is indicated Completed. Then choose the Evaluateoption to complete the evaluation.Printing a Certificate of CompletionBefore you attempt to print off a certificate of completion, please note the following: Ensure that your pop off blocker is disabled in your browser.Certificate of completions will only be displayed after you have completed all of the requirements ofany course or workshop.Printing off a Certificate of Completion: 2014 Kaplan University – Center for Teaching and Learning – [email protected]
1. Log into KapLearn.2. Click on the link View Transcript, to see a transcript of all courses or workshops you have completed orare in the process of completing.3. Click on the course or workshop from which you wish to print a certificate of completion. Rememberthat you can only print certificate of completions for courses or workshops, which have the states ofCompleted:You should now see the training details of the course or workshop that you completed.4. Click on the words Print Certificate to display the certificate of completion for the course or workshop:Note: The certificate of completion for the course or workshop should be displayed in a new browserwindow.
