AIR MEDICALM E T R O AV I AT I O NF U L L M E D I C A L I N T E R I O R S O LU T I O NAs an air medical solution, the EC145e offers a variety of STC configurations to meet the needsof hospitals, specialty teams and pediatric units.12Metro Aviation
AIR MEDICALEMS PRIMARY SEATING ANDPATIENT ARRANGEMENTSThis arrangement includes three (3) Seats and aLH patient: The forward cabin LH and RH Aft-FacingTrack & Swivel seats The aft cabin RH Fwd-Facing Track &Swivel seats position for Taxi, Take-Off andLanding. Can be moved forward when 2patients loaded. The LH PATIENT litter/gurney at STA 4522will be locked into position for Taxi, TakeOff and LandingSEATINGEC145e13
AIR MEDICALFLOOR PALLET SYSTEMThe 145M-250-2 Floor Pallet System will overlaythe existing aircraft floor and provide for theprotection of the airframe and provide mountingfor the Gurneys/Litters and Medical/Operatorseats. The floor pallet will be machined usingvarious thickness of 6061-T6 aluminum; a fluiddam will be machined into the floor to containspilled fluids. Additionally, recessed longitudinalheavy duty seat rails will be machined into thefloor pallet to accommodate a number of interiorseating and patient Gurney/Litter arrangements. The floor pallet may be finished with a hardanodized surface and/or powder coated.FLOOR PALLET SYSTEMTheF /N9613-0-33-2X004B120X0002X seats included inthe floor pallet system will mount directly intorecessed longitudinal seat rails. This allows theseats to be track fore, aft and swivel allowingfor better patient access. The seat is certifiedto TSO-C127 and AS8049 Type B and the seatcushion meets the requirements of AppendixF, Part II of CFR 25. Additionally, the seat comeswith a JTSO-C114, 4 point safety belt system.CABIN FLOOD LIGHTSThe 145M-166 cabin flood lights included inthis system are located in the overhead cabinperiphery, the system consist of eight (8x) highintensity LED (blue/white) lights that are used toprovide illumination of the cabin during medicalmissions. Operation is controlled through theUTC Aerospace touch panels that allow themedical crew to control the lights.MEDICAL IV RAILSThe 145M-801/802 Medical (4x) IV Rails securedthe cabin overhead center middle panel (MAX.WT. 2.5 Lbs. PER RAIL) provides a positive catchand convenient location for the medical crewto hang IV solutions bags, not allowing them todrop in flight.LIGHTS AND RAILS14Metro Aviation
AIR MEDICALGASEOUS CONTINUOUS FLOWOXYGEN SYSTEMThe Emergency Medical System KIT 145M-1003 Optional Continuous Flow Oxygen Systemincludes a primary right hand cylinder system. The optional 145M-610-3 RH Oxygen Systemconsists of a: Cirrus/Metro Style Cylinder-Valve Assembly(approx. 77.1 cu ft/2700 liters) Digital Indicator Shut-off valve Pressure transmitter Pressure switch Cabin emergency shutoff switch Pilot cutoff switch Cabin oxygen outletsOXYGEN SYSTEMThe right hand Cylinder-Valve Assembly (77.1cu ft) is mounted to the fuselage between thecross tubes below the door tracks on the righthand outboard side and covered by a fiberglassfairing. Low-pressure oxygen is supplied to thecabin though 1/4” seamless stainless steel lines. The low-pressure system can be cut off at thepoint where it enters the aircraft by an electricallycontrolled shut off valve. There is an emergencyshut-off switch in the system. The shut-off valveis controlled by three switch system: a pilotmaster cutoff switch, an emergency oxygenoverride switch in the cabin if touch screens fails.Cabin touch screens are for the normal on/offoperation used by the medical crew. The touchscreens also have annunciation of low oxygenpressure below 40–45 psi. The contents of thebottle can be monitored on a digital gauge in thecabin. Servicing of the Cylinder-Valve Assembly(77.1 cu ft) will be through a fill port locatedadjacent to the right hand Oxygen cylinder.Optional secondarySystem is available.EC145e145M-630LHOxygen15
AIR MEDICALEXTERNAL LIQUID OXYGENThe 145M-640 External LOX System R/H DEWARScontainer holds 7 liters of liquid oxygen. Themounting of the cylinder is on the right handside of the fuselage externally and covered bya fiberglass fairing. The filling of the DEWARScontainer is done by removing the cylinder andservicing away fro the aircraft. The contents ofthe tank can be checked by turning the power onand viewing the contents gauge located in theMedical control. There are two emergency shutoff switches in the system. The shut-off valvescan be activated by either the switch located inthe medical control panels or the pilot priorityswitch located in the cockpit overhead switchpanel. The pilot switch cannot be overridden bythe medical crew switch. Detail filling instructioncan be found in the maintenance manual andInstructions for Continued Airworthiness.LIQUID OXYGENINTERNAL LOX IN CABINET(Non-STC)The 145M-641 internal liquid oxygen containeris a double walled, ultra high vacuum insulatedcontainer that stores the oxygen in its liquidstate. It is constructed to minimize the influxof heat into the contained liquid oxygen. Theinner container is suspended within the outercontainer by means of a vibration and shockadsorbing spring arrangement. Two tubes leadfrom the outer container to the top (vapor phase)and bottom (liquid phase) of the inner container. The liquid oxygen container incorporates acapacitance type sensing element, which is thesender for the contents gauging system. Theelectrical leads for the sensing element arerouted to the outside of the container throughthe vent tube.16Metro Aviation
