Expatriate with anACTIVE PASS, who iscurrently stranded abroad.i.a) Residence PassTalent (RP-T) andDependant/sb) Employment Pass(Category I, II & III)c) Professional VisitPass (PVP)PROCEDURESApplication for entry permission for theapplicant has to be submitted by thecompany, together with a Support Letter fromthe relevant Approving Agency or RegulatoryBody according to their respective sector.The application must be submitted viaMYEntry in ESD online system to obtain thedecision of the Director General ofImmigration Department Malaysia (DGIM).Support Letter from the relevant ApprovingAgencyorRegulatoryBodyforDEPENDANTS / LT-SVP / FOREIGNMAIDS is not required.d) Dependant/s toexpatriate for allcategoriesii.The client charter for approval by the DGIMis THREE (3) to FIVE (5) working days fromthe date of the application submission.e) Long Term SocialVisit Pass (LT-SVP)to expatriate for allcategoriesiii.Entry permission for the applicant that can beapproved by the DGIM are positions thathave been assessed by the respectiveApproving Agency / Regulatory Body andcategorized under key posts and technicalposts.iv.Upon approval by the DGIM, the ExpatriateServices Division (ESD) will issue an EntryApproval Letter for the applicant to thecompany, with copies sent to the ApprovingAgency or Regulatory Body, NationalDisaster Management Agency (NADMA),National Security Council (NSC), MalaysianMissions Abroad, Foreign Missions andrelated agencies.f) Foreign Maid toexpatriate for allcategoriesLast updated: 7 Oct 20201
v.The company is responsible for sendingand/or e-mailing the Entry Approval Letter tothe applicant.vi.The applicant who is currently abroad with anexpired pass is required to obtain a visa fromthe respective Malaysian Embassy /Consulate General / High Commission priorto entering Malaysia. A visa application isonly applicable for nationalities that require avisa to enter Malaysia.vii.Prior to entering Malaysia, the applicantwho has obtained the Entry Approval isENCOURAGED to undergo PCR Covid-19Test abroad within THREE (3) days, andmust be medically confirmed to be testednegative for Covid-19 It is alsoCOMPULSORY for the expatriate toDOWNLOADANDINSTALLthe“MySejahtera” mobile application beforedeparture. The “MySejahtera” applicationenables the Ministry of Health (MOH) tomonitor users’ health conditions, and forthem to be able to take immediate actions inproviding the treatments required.viii.Upon arrival in Malaysia, the applicant mustpresent to the Immigration Officer at the entrypoint;a. Entry Approval Letter;b. Valid Pass / Approval Letter / Visawith Reference (VDR); andc. The cost ofquarantine shall be borne by the applicant.xii.Failing to pay ALL COSTS or any MONIESDUE to the Government of Malaysia, theapplicant’s active pass will be denied entry,pass cancelled and blacklisted in theImmigration system.xiii.The applicant is required to comply with therules and regulations set by the ImmigrationDepartment of Malaysia.xiv.Permitted Malaysia Entry Points:a. 2.NEW APPROVED PASSAPPLICATION forExpatriate / skilled worker /knowledge worker who iscurrently abroad for theregistered company inESD and ApprovingAgencies (Not registeredin ESD) (e.g: PublicInstitutions of HigherLearning (IPTA), MIDA /IRDA approval).i.The company may submit the expatriate’sapplication through the relevant ApprovingAgency. The Approving Agency will processthe new position application through theirrespective Expatriate Committee (EC).ii.Prior to the entry permission application, thecompany is to obtain an Approval Letterfrom the Expatriate Committee (EC) asindicated in Para (i). Application for entrypermission for the applicant has to besubmitted by the company, together with aSupport Letter from the relevant ApprovingAgency or Regulatory Body according to theirrespective sector.
