The following is a brief introduction to the remote control itself. Setting the TIMER function1Your air conditioning unit has twotimer-related functions:TIMER ON- sets the amount of timer afterwhich the unit will automatically turn on.TIMER OFF- sets the amount of time afterwhich the unit will automatically turn off.2TIMER ONTIMER ON functionThe TIMER ON function allows you to seta period of time after which the unit willautomatically turn on, such as when youcome home from work.31. Press the TIMER ON button. Bydefault, the last time period that youset and an "h" (indicating hours) willappear on the display.Note: This number indicates theamount of time after the current timethat you want the unit to turn on.For example, if you set TIMER ON for2 hours, "2.0h" will appear on thescreen, and the unit will turn on after2 hours.1 secx5TIMER ON42 ample: Settinghours.unit to turn on after 2.5TIMER OFF functionThe TIMER OFF function allows you toset a period of time after which the unitwill automatically turn off, such as whenyou wake up.fter 10 hours and up to 24, it will increase in1 hour increments. oto Use the Advanced Functionsoto Use the Advanced FunctionsFOLLOW ME functionSLEEP FunctionThe SLEEP function is used to decrease,energy use while you sleep (and don t needthe same temperature settings to staycomfortable). This function can only beactivated via remote control.Note: The SLEEP function is not availablein FAN or DRY mode.TURBO functionThe TURBO function makes the unit workextra hard to reach your present temperaturein the shortest amount of time possible.When you press the TURBO button inCOOL mode, the unit will blow cool airwithstrongest wind setting to jump-startthe cooling process.When you press the TURBO button inHEAT mode, for units with lectric heatlements, the lectric eater will activateand jump-start the heating process.The FOLLOW ME function enables theremote control to measure the temperature at its current location. When usingAUTO, COOL, or HEAT functions,measuring ambient temperature fromthe remote control (instead of from theindoor unit itself) will enable the airconditioner to optimize the temperaturearound you and ensure maximum comfort. 1.PressFOLLOW ME button to activatefunction. The remote control will sentemperature signal to the indoor unitevery three minutes.2. PressFOLLOW ME button again toturn off this e bacteria can grow in themoisture that condenses around heatexchangers in the unit. With regular use,most of this moisture is evaporated fromthe unit. By pressing the SELF CLEANbutton, your unit will clean itself automatically. The cleaning cycle takes 30minutes, after which the unit will turn offautomatically. Pressing the SELF CLEANbutton mid-cycle will cancel the operationand turn off the FRESHTRUBOCLEANLEDFOLLOWUsed to restore the current settings or resumeprevious settings.he first time connecting to the power, ifpushthe SHORTCUT button, the unit will operate onAUTO m F(), and fan speed is Auto.ush this button whenremote control is on,the system will automatically revert back to the previousncluding operating mode, settingtemperature, fan speedand sleep feature(if activated).If push more than 2 seconds, the system willautomatically restore the current operation settings,including operating mode, setting temperature, fanspeed level, and sleep feature (if activated).SWING functionSwingButtonUsed to stop or start vertical louver movementand set the desired left/right air flow direction.The vertical louver changes 6 degree in anglefor each press. If push more than 2 seconds,the vertical louver auto swing feature is activated.ON/OFFSELF CLEAN functionSHORTCUT functionSLEEPFRESHTRUBOCLEANLEDSwing ButtonUsed to stop or start horizontal louver movementor set the desired up/down air flow direction. Thelouver changes 6 degree in angle for each press.If push more than 2 seconds, the louverwill swing up and down automatically.FOLLOWYou can use SELF CLEAN as often asyou like.Note: You can only activate this functionin COOL or DRY mode.1314
